Contributing improvements to the benchmarks

The benchmarks on this website are hosted in version-controlled git repositories. These repositories are publicly accessible which allows website users to amend code or data and then notify the benchmark capture administrators to fold those changes into the captures.

The benchmarks created by the Kortemme Lab are hosted on GitHub. The workflow that we support for updating those benchmarks is the fork & pull model. The steps to update a benchmark are as follows:

  1. Fork the repository for the benchmark.
  2. Make your changes in that fork.
  3. Submit a GitHub pull request for the website team.
  4. We will review the changes with you.
  5. Finally, the changes will be merged into the public repository.
The fork & pull link above describes this process in more detail.
